A delicious Brazilian drink, that I can’t pronounce for the life of me, was introduced to me about 2 years ago by a friend who had spent sometime living there–The Caipirinha.
To make them right you have to put a little effort in, but your finished product is incredibly fresh and delicious. The perfect hot summer night drink.
The ingredients are simple:
How to make:
Wash the lime and roll it on the board to loosen the juices. Cut the lime into pieces and place them in a glass. Sprinkle with the sugar, be generous!, and crush the pieces (pulp side up) with a pestle, preferably a wooden one. Crush just enough to get the juices out. Add the cachaça and stir to mix. Last, add the ice and stir again. ENJOY!
