After a weekend of decorating the house for Christmas, I thought I would share 2 ideas my Mom found for us on Rachel Ray’s site that I LOVE. They are simple and pretty…my kind of decorations. Both pictures link to Rachel’s site.

"Twinkle, Twinkle"

Great way to use cheap Christmas Lights without even having to untangle them! ūüėČ

I want this September 9, 2010

Only $2100

Looks sooo comfy and pretty. I would put it in a corner where the sun shines in the afternoon and curl up and nap in the warmth, mmmm.

Gifts August 12, 2010

After browsing through pages and pages of Outblush.com gifts, I selected a few of my favorites to share with you: (all pictures link to their sites)

The Hug Mug $8.90 The perfect mug to hold in both hands, perfect for upcoming hot chocolate months.

Wallcandy Arts Rococo ChalkBoard $36 a great idea for a kids room...Just picture it: "clean your room" written nicely in chalk

Ducky Retro Ice Bag $13.99, I definitley want to try this than the usual ziploc bag that leaks...

And the last is not letting me post a picture but it is a Bobeau Asymmetrical Fleece Wrap Cardigan from Nordstrom. $58, looks super cozy, perfect with the Hug Mug above.

I have to include this delicate delight from DB Sources (I found in House Beautiful Magazine):

Rose Pendant Light, would be gorgeous at weddings or to set a mood in a specific mood, if only it weren't $999.

In Portland, the only time we can have some fun with outdoor decorating (besides holiday lights) is during the summer months. One way I like to spruce up an outdoor event, or just a regular dinner outside, is by using hanging vases and votives.

Flowers and candles on the table are expected, but hanging them in trees or around the outside of your house is a beautiful surprise, and gives your backyard an enchanting feel.

Very cute decorating idea from Eat Drink Pretty (http://eatdrinkpretty.blogspot.com/)

Using mason jars is simple and beautiful.

You can illuminate a wedding party or buffet table with small votives

I know it's not hanging candles, but a floating candle/flower petal aisle is stunning.
